In English: end field (after the bracket)
The position after the closing part of the verb bracket. It is usually empty, but comparisons with als and wie, subordinate clauses and infinitive clauses are placed there so that the bracket does not become too heavy.
Example: Er ist schneller gelaufen als sein Bruder.
