In English: infinitive (the dictionary form)
The basic form of the verb, the one you find in the dictionary. It almost always ends in -en (machen, gehen), sometimes in -n (wandern, tun). English uses „to“ plus the verb; German just uses the ending.
Example: Ich möchte Deutsch lernen. (I would like to learn German.)
