In English: light-verb construction (fixed noun + verb phrase)
A fixed combination of a noun and a verb that has lost most of its own meaning (bringen, kommen, stellen, nehmen...). The noun carries the meaning. These phrases are typical of formal and written German: eine Entscheidung treffen = entscheiden.
Example: Die Bibliothek stellt Computer zur Verfügung. (The library makes computers available.)
