der Akkusativ
In English: accusative (direct object case)
The case of the direct object, the person or thing that the action acts on. It answers wen? or was?. Only the masculine singular changes: der becomes den, ein becomes einen. Some prepositions (für, ohne, durch, gegen, um) always take it.
Example: Ich sehe den Hund. (I see the dog.)
