In English: passive substitute

A construction that has a passive meaning without the passive form: man, sein + zu + infinitive, sich lassen + infinitive, or an adjective in -bar. They often add the idea of „can be done“ or „must be done“.

Example: Das Problem lässt sich leicht lösen. Das Problem ist lösbar.
