Pronouns

jemand / niemand

In English: someone / no one

Jemand means an unknown person and niemand means no person at all. Both take a verb in the singular. The endings -en (accusative) and -em (dative) are optional. Niemand already contains the negation, so do not add nicht.

Example: Hat jemand angerufen? Nein, niemand.
