In English: imperative (commands and requests)

The mood for instructions, requests and advice. German has three forms, one for each word for „you“: du (Komm!), ihr (Kommt!) and Sie (Kommen Sie!). The verb comes first, and bitte makes it polite.

Example: Mach bitte das Fenster zu! Nehmen Sie bitte Platz!
