der Plural

In English: plural

The form used for more than one. German has several plural endings (-e, -er, -n, -en, -s, or none), often with an umlaut, so learn the plural with each noun. The article is die for all three genders.

Example: Die Bücher und die Hefte sind in der Tasche.
