In English: demonstrative article (this, that)
A word in front of a noun that points to a particular person or thing: dieser, diese, dieses (this), and jener (that, formal). It takes the same endings as the definite article.
Example: Dieser Zug fährt nach Bern. Ich nehme diesen Zug.
