In English: accusative object (direct object)

The object in the accusative: the person or thing directly affected by the action. It answers the question wen? or was? Only the masculine singular looks different from the nominative (der becomes den, ein becomes einen).

Example: Ich kaufe einen Tisch. (Was kaufe ich?)
