In English: question-word question
A question that asks for a piece of information and starts with a question word in W: wer, was, wo, wann, wie, warum, woher, wohin. The verb is second and the subject follows it. German has no helper like „do“ or „does“.
Example: Wo wohnst du? (Where do you live?)
